Welcome! My name is Peyman Asadzade. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University. My research interests are diverse but most of the time I focus on topics related to contentious politics, conflict, and nationalism. While my primary regional focus is the Middle East, my research agenda addresses broad questions and involves a variety of contexts around the world. My dissertation examines the dynamics of foreign states’ diplomatic support for political movements.
My articles have been published or are forthcoming in Conflict Management and Peace Science, Research & Politics, Journal of Global Security Studies, and Nations &Nationalism. I have also written articles for the Monkey Cage of Washington Post.
